WARMING UP
Highs in the 40s and 50s are expected most of this week! The warm up will begin this afternoon, after a pretty cold wake-up call. Clouds will increase, but the forecast remains dry.
Balmy 50s are in the forecast Wednesday and Thursday, with rain at times. Rain should hold off most of the day tomorrow in Boston. Towns north and west could see a few showers during the day. The main rain will arrive in the evening and pass through overnight with gusty wind. We have a WEATHER ALERT for the wind and rain, though flooding is unlikely. The South Coast has the best chance for splashover or pockets of minor coastal flooding with southerly gusts 30-45 mph.
Thursday looks mostly dry with a few spot showers. More gaps in the clouds will develop in the afternoon. It will be the warmest day of the week!
LATE-WEEK DROP
By the end of the week, temperatures will return to more seasonable levels, and we can expect a bit more stability in the weather. Friday will be quite blustery, which will add to more of a late winter feel.
One last thing to note: don’t forget to set your clocks forward one hour next weekend as we begin daylight saving time! Get ready for longer days and more sunshine ahead.
