MILFORD, Mass. — Two teens were arrested after allegedly breaking into multiple vehicles overnight on Monday and stealing valuable items.
The juveniles, whose names will not be released due to their age, are charged with three counts of breaking and entering into a vehicle, one count of larceny over $1,200, one count of larceny under $1,200, credit card fraud under $1,200, and conspiracy.
According to Milford Police, the dispatch center received multiple 911 calls from residents the morning of January 6 saying that items were stolen from their cars overnight.
With the assistance of social media videos posted by residents and an investigation by Milford Police Detectives, two suspects were identified and a search warrant was executed on their residences.
Police say they recovered multiple stolen items from the suspect’s houses.
“Cases like this can be very difficult to solve, I’m proud of our Detectives for bringing an expedited resolution to this matter,” said Milford Police Chief Robert Tusino. “Our relationship with our community and their eagerness to share their own video footage was an immense help in establishing an investigative timeline. This is an unfortunate but timely reminder that no matter how safe our community is, to always lock your vehicle and never leave any items in plain view.”
