Three mini-donkeys escape from Kingston home

Kingston wayward mini donkeys (Kingston Police Department)

KINGSTON, Mass. — Kingston officers rescued a trio of mini-donkeys on the lam Thursday night after escaping from their home.

Police say the animals escaped from a residence on Grove Street.

After quickly locating the donkeys, the animals “reported to [the] officer that they are sick of people calling them insults starting with ‘jack…',” according to Kingston officials.

Police said the officer used de-escalation techniques and bonded “over the fact that he too has been called this name before,” and provided coping skills.

All three runaways were safely returned home.
