Man shot and killed in Dorchester, police say

BOSTON — Authorities are investigating a deadly shooting in Boston’s Dorchester neighborhood Tuesday night.

According to police, a man was shot in the area of 73 Ridgewood Street around 7:22 p.m.

The victim was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead. His identity is not being released at this time.

Officers blocked off Ridgewood Street with red and yellow tape, and appeared to be focused on an SUV with a bullet hole in the window.

The investigation remains active and there have been no reports of any arrests.
