Stabbing suspect arrested in Boston, police say

BOSTON — A local man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing in Mattapan last month, police said Tuesday.

Naysaan Austin, 29, of Dorchester, was wanted on a warrant issued out of Dorchester District Court for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, serious bodily injury.

Officers arrested Austin at about 7:53 a.m. Monday in the area of 1165 Blue Hill Avenue.

His arrest came three weeks after police responded to 21 Fessenden St. for a report of a person stabbed at about 10:30 p.m. on Dec. 23.

The victim was treated for a laceration to the face on scene, but refused to be transported to the hospital.

Austin is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
