South Station experiencing delays following a train derailment

BOSTON — Delays are underway at South Station after a train derailed off the tracks

According to Keolis Commuter Rails, the rear part of the commuter train, coming from Providence, experienced a “slow-speed upright derailment” as it pulled into the station.

The train was carrying approximately 130 passengers with no injuries reported.

As of now, trains have begun departing an hour behind schedule.

An investigation is currently underway.
