Serious crash on Route 3 in Billerica under investigation

BILLERICA, Mass. — A serious overnight crash is under investigation in Billerica.

The crash happened on the northbound side of Route 3 near Treble Cove Road.

Boston 25 was on the scene shortly after the crash happened around 1 a.m. and saw a sedan on the other side of the guardrail.

First responders were seen rushing to the scene and we know that one person was seriously hurt.

The highway going north was shutdown for a brief time to allow crews to investigate.

Boston 25 has reached out to Massachusetts State Police for more information.
