SHERBORN, Mass. — The driver of a school bus had to be hospitalized after crashing in Sherborn Thursday afternoon.
None of the 10 middle and high school students on the bus were injured when the vehicle crashed on Coolidge Street just before 4:00 p.m., according to Dover-Sherborn Public Schools.
School officials said the bus driver had just completed a stop and was traveling slowly when the driver experienced a “medical emergency:
All students were checked out by medical professionals and released back to their parents, school officials said.
“I commend the students involved for reacting calmly and responsibly and am grateful to the Sherborn Fire and Police Department for their timely and thorough response,” Dover-Sherborn Superintendent Beth McCoy said in a statement.
Members of the Ashland Fire Department also responded to the crash.
