Scheduled power outage to impact National Grid customers in 2 Massachusetts communities

TEWKSBURY, Mass. — A scheduled power outage will impact National Grid customers in two Massachusetts communities beginning Tuesday night.

The outage for parts of Lowell and Tewksbury begins Tuesday at 9 p.m. and will last until about 5 a.m. Wednesday, the Tewksbury Police Department reminded the public in a Facebook post.

“This outage is necessary to make improvements to the electrical system, ensuring safe and reliable service,” the post stated.

Affected streets in Lowell and Tewksbury include:

  • 71, 78 Armand Avenue
  • 15–79 Armand Street
  • 4–35, 45 Bernier Street
  • 3–26 Bristol Street
  • 4–27 Canterbury Street
  • 5–15, 18–21, 33–78 Christman Avenue
  • 0–142 Commonwealth Avenue
  • 2–51 Crystal Street
  • 0–114 Delmont Avenue
  • 22, 36, 50–55, 60–66, 72, 75, 84–102 Elm Ave
  • 52 Felker Avenue
  • 0, 42, 105, 109 Felker Street
  • 1, 3, 11, 30–104 Forest Avenue
  • 11–60 Greenwood Avenue
  • 22–94 Highland Avenue
  • 0–83 Jean Avenue
  • 21 Kernwood Avenue
  • 0–81 Lowell Street
  • 11–94 Rumford Street
  • 0, 293–522 Woburn Street

Police said that residents living in the affected areas should have received a written notice in the mail.

For additional information, residents are urged to contact National Grid Customer Service at 1-800-322-3223.

The work will be rescheduled if inclement weather occurs.
