BOSTON — All is calm, all is bright.

The tiniest patients in Boston Medical Center’s Newborn Intensive Care Unit are celebrating the holidays early.

The hospital on Monday shared heartwarming photos of its youngest patients wearing their holiday best, and the adorable babies are bringing smiles to families and staff alike.

In one photo, three hands cover one of the infants in a show of love, healing and support. In another photograph, a person makes the shape of a heart over another NICU baby.

The March of Dimes provided the holiday decorations.

Project Sweet Peas, a nonprofit group that supports families with infants in the NICU and those affected by pregnancy and infant loss, donated the baby costumes.

Boston Medical Center’s NICU manager Donna Stickney and her family hand-knitted the Santa hats.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates as more information becomes available.
