BOSTON — Boston Police are seeking the public’s help in finding an East Boston woman who has been missing for one month.
Elba Portillo, 61, of East Boston was last seen at about 9:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 13 in the area of Marion Street after leaving for work on Meridian Street, police said Monday.
“She did not show up to work,” police said. “She has gone missing in the past and likes to sit along the waterfront in East Boston. She is reported to suffer from insomnia and potentially early stages of dementia.”
Police described Portillo as a Hispanic female, standing about 5 feet, 3 inches tall, weighting approximately 140 pounds, with light skin, brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black jacket, purple sweatpants, and a crossbody brown purse.
Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts is urged to call 911 or Boston detectives at 617-343-4234.
