ORANGE, Mass. — Despite landing gear problems, an airplane safely touched down in northern Massachusetts Sunday morning due to some skilled maneuvering from the aircraft pilot.
Officials at Fitchburg Airport told first responders in Orange around 9:30 a.m. that a plane had landing gear problems would be making an impromptu landing at Orange Airport.
The plane was able to perform an emergency landing on the grass despite having no landing gear.
