BOSTON — A person has been rushed to the hospital after being hit by a vehicle near Brigham and Women’s Hospital Friday.
The collision in the area of Binney and Francis Street triggered a large police response, according to a Boston police spokesperson.
The person suffered life-threatening injuries, police said.
Traffic Advisory: BPD is on scene at Binney and Francis Streets for a report of a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle. The victim’s injuries are life threatening. Traffic is shut down in that intersection and will have an impact on all traffic in the hospital area.

Drivers were asked to avoid the area if possible.
Yellow caution tape could be seen surrounding the intersection.
