Pedestrian flown to Boston hospital after being struck by vehicle at Cape Cod recycling center

BARNSTABLE, Mass. — A pedestrian was flown to a hospital in Boston after they were struck by a vehicle on Cape Cod on Wednesday, officials said.

Firefighters responding to a report of a crash involving a pedestrian at the Barnstable Transfer Station Recycling Center at 45 Flint Street in the village of Marstons Mills found an adult victim suffering from serious injuries, according to the Centerville-Osterville-Marstons Mills Fire Department.

The victim, whose name hasn’t been released, was rushed via ambulance to Beth Israel Hospital in Plymouth, where they were then airlifted to Boston for additional treatment.

There was no immediate word on the driver involved in the crash.

Additional details weren’t available.

Barnstable police are investigating the crash.
