BOW, N.H. — Two New Hampshire teenagers are facing charges after state police said they were speeding more than 100 mph on Interstate 93 over the weekend.
Alizah Johnson, 18, of Concord, was arrested for reckless operation and disobeying an officer, state police said. She was released on personal recognizance and is scheduled to appear in Concord District Court at a later date.
Benjamin Goodell, 17, of Claremont, was summonsed to appear in Concord District Court at a later date for reckless operation, state police said.
Around 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Trooper Conor Davis saw a 2008 BMW 3 Series, driven by Goodell, traveling 109 mph in a posted 65 mph zone, state police said.
Hours later, at 1:30 a.m. Sunday, Davis saw another vehicle, a black 2013 Volvo S60, driven by Johnson, traveling 124 mph in a posted 65 mph zone, state police said.
As Davis caught up to the car, Johnson, the driver of the Volvo, turned the vehicle’s lights off, state police said. But as Davis got behind the Volvo, Johnson turned the lights back on and pulled over.
Anyone with additional information about either incident is asked to contact Trooper Conor Davis at Conor.K.Davis@dos.nh.gov.
