Mattapan man facing drug charges for allegedly hiding cocaine inside lollipop wrappers

Dorchester Morton St drugs seized (Boston Police Department)

BOSTON — A Mattapan man was arrested and nearly 400 grams of drugs were seized after officers executed two search warrants in Dorchester on Thursday.

52-year-old Gordon Robinson was charged with trafficking of Class B drugs, possession with intent to distribute Class D drugs, and unlawful possession of a firearm (stun gun).

Boston Police say a search warrant was conducted in the area of 1208 Morton Street around 11 a.m. when they saw Robinson leave the building and begin walking towards Old Morton Street.

The officers stopped him and told Robinson they had a warrant for his body, according to authorities. Police allegedly found five multi-colored lollipops each holding pieces of crack cocaine inside the wrapper.

After conducting a second search warrant at 1208 Morton Street, police say they found 34 plastic bags of crack cocaine, 2 large plastic bags of marijuana, multiple scales, a stun gun, and about $4,134.

Investigators weighed the drugs, which totaled to about 344 grams of crack cocaine and 452 grams of marijuana.

Robinson will be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
