Mass General Brigham is dealing with a network outage that is affecting digital systems across the organization.
The outage began around noon and caused staff to resort to paper forms and charts to log patient information.
Thursday evening, an MGB spokesperson told Boston 25 News that sites were beginning to bring their systems back online.
“Around noon today, a digital disruption caused some computers and other digital devices across Mass General Brigham to go offline. This was not a cyberattack. Patient care has continued except for some elective outpatient procedures. All sites have begun bringing systems back online and returning to normal operations, and that work will continue overnight,” a Mass General Brigham spokesperson told Boston 25 News.
The hospital network does not believe the outage is due to a cyber attack.
