BOSTON — A man accused of wearing a disguise and stealing from an elderly woman in November 2024 surrendered to Connecticut authorities on Monday.
37-year-old Emmanuel Rivera-Robles is charged with breaking and entering in the daytime, trespassing, assault and battery of a person over 60 years of age, and larceny from a building.
On November 21, 2024, Rivera-Robles disguised himself as a maintenance worker at the Cardinal Medeiros Manor Apartments on Woodcliff Street and forced his way into the home of an 85-year-old female victim, stealing her Social Security, EBT, MassHealth, and debit cards, according to Boston Police.
Officials say the break-in left the victim deeply shaken.
After analyzing surveillance footage, detectives identified a vehicle of interest, eventually leading to the identification of Rivera-Robles through a Massachusetts State Police body-worn camera during a traffic stop.
Investigators then secured an arrest warrant, coordinating with the Boston Police Fugitive Unit to have Rivera-Robles surrender to authorities in Connecticut, according to police.
He was arrested and arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
