BOSTON — A flight from Boston to Hong Kong returned to Logan Airport shortly after taking off after a report of smoke in the cabin and cockpit.
According to Cathay Pacific, flight CX811 made a precautionary flight return to Logan International Airport “in accordance with standard procedures following a report of smoke in the cockpit and cabin shortly after take-off.”
The plane landed normally at 3:31 a.m. and returned to the gate where engineers are now investigating and performing inspections.
According to the airline, no injuries were reported to the crew or customers.
Customers are being informed on the latest status of the flight and according to a Cathay Pacific spokesperson, they will continue to provide them with appropriate assistance..
“Safety guides every decision we make, a statement said. “We sincerely apologize to the affected customers for the inconvenience.”
