Crews gather at Shrewsbury lake for reports of missing person

SHREWSBURY, Mass. — First responders were dispatched to Lake Quinsigamond Sunday afternoon after reports of a missing boater.

First responders were on scene surveying the water.

Multiple emergency crews are providing mutual aid and assisting local first responders in their search, including members of the Hopkinton, Worcester, and Northborough dive teams.

“Engine 1 is covering Shrewsbury Fire (SFD) Headquarters while another NFD member has deployed with the Fire District 14 Communications Team to assist SFD & regional dive teams with an ongoing search for a missing person on Lake Quinsigamond,” the Northborough Fire Department wrote on their Facebook.
