Boston 25 Weather

Smoky Sun and Showers

MORE OF THE SAME

Air Quality will still be problematic today with more smoke around from the Canadian wildfires. The haze will be abundant locally, but the worst of the near surface smoke will settle across western MA, NY and PA.

Clouds will linger today with a few showers, but we aren’t expecting storms like we did yesterday. Although an isolated downpour day develop, most of the showers will be low impact.

Wash, rinse, and repeat the forecast Thursday!

WEEKEND IN VIEW

Low pressure looks slower to shift away from New England. That means a longer stretch with this pattern of afternoon showers, now set to last through Saturday. Friday and Saturday will feature some more widespread rain in the afternoons. We’ll see a few embedded thunderstorms and downpours on those days. It’s best to get your errands and outdoor plans in early.

Sunday is now our transition day, finally bringing us dry weather. It will be partly cloudy and warmer with highs in the 70s or lower 80s. Clouds will increase late in the day with the potential for rain again Monday or Tuesday with a frontal system passing through.
