Riding for a cause: Cycle for Survival fundraiser returns to Boston

BOSTON — After a pandemic pause, hundreds of people will “Cycle for Survival” outside Equinox in Chestnut Hill on Saturday, May 7th to raise money for rare cancer research.

Cycle for Survival is a fundraiser for Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York.

A Waltham mother Jessica Bella will be among the riders this year. Her team “Cycle for Sight” has taken part in the event for 8 years, celebrating the innovative chemotherapy treatment Memorial Sloan Kettering provided that saved her young daughter’s eye from cancer.

“Cycle for Survival is the best event… to remind you of everything that you’re grateful for,” Bella said. “It’s so incredible.”

Jessica’s team alone has raised more than 30-thousand dollars. Every dollar raised goes directly to life-saving work.

Cycle for Survival surpassed a huge fundraising milestone on April 27th, reaching $300 million raised since it began in 2007. To learn more and donate, visit:
