BOSTON — After two years of COVID-related delays, High Street Place Food Hall is opening to the public. It happened just in time for the indoor mask mandate to be lifted this weekend.
Twenty vendors set up Wednesday morning to serve everything from pizza to cocktails and coffee with some big-name chefs like Tiffani Faison with food stalls here.
The space itself is 20-thousand feet and seats up to 400 people. The hope is that as businesses reopen and people go back to work, it will be a place where people can come together for lunch or a night out on the town.
While this is a time to celebrate this city’s milestone, this weekend holds a very cautious optimism as health officials watch indicators like ICU bed capacity and positivity rates.
Individual businesses can still require masks. However, masks will still be required in hospitals, nursing homes, and public transportation.
