Dine Out Boston returns with higher prices to support restaurant industry

BOSTON — The spring edition of Dine Out Boston kicks off Sunday, and for the first time in nearly a decade, the prix fixe menu prices are increasing.

Organizers said lunch prices have gone up by $7 and dinner prices by $8 to further support the recovery of local restaurants.

The number of courses and details vary by restaurant, but special Dine Out lunch menus will be offered at $22, $27 or $32 and dinner menus will be offered at $36, $41 or $46.

“As the warmer weather approaches, we encourage visitors and residents alike to experience our signature culinary program,” said Martha J. Sheridan, President & CEO of the Greater Boston Convention & Visitors Bureau in a statement. “Diners should take advantage of this special occasion to dine out at their favorite restaurants and try new ones as we collectively endeavor to assist the restaurant industry in its ongoing recovery.”

In addition to dine-in deals, many restaurants are also offering carry-out and delivery options.

More than 120 restaurants in the greater Boston area are participating.

Dine Out Boston runs from Sunday, March 13 through Saturday, March 26.
