QB controversy? Pats fans wonder if Zappe should become the new lead signal caller

FOXBOROUGH---The Patriots snapped a two-game losing streak.

Now many fans are expressing a desire for Bailey Zappe to become the new starting quarterback after a win against the Detroit Lions.

“Zappe’s performance was amazing,” says a Patriots Fan.

And just like that, it’s out of sight out of mind for fans when it comes to starting quarterback, Mac Jones.

“Without Mac Jones, we can win forever,” says a Patriots Fan.

It hasn’t taken long for Patriots fans to switch their loyalty.

“I hate to say it, but I would like to see him every week. Sorry Mac Jones love you,” says a Patriots Fan.

For some fans, Bailey Zappe’s recent performances are reminiscent to another former quarterback. One of his youngest fans is named after him.

“Tom Brady did the exact same thing. Came in for the starter and proved himself,” says Brady O’Conner, a Patriots Fan.

Zappe became the youngest quarterback in their first NFL start to complete 80 percent of his passes, but not everyone is ready to hop on the Zappe bandwagon.

“Mac, I mean we spent the first round pick on him got to let him see what he does,” says a Patriots Fan.

Now the question is who takes the starting quarterback spot next Sunday when the Patriots play the Browns.
