FALMOUTH, Mass — Falmouth fire crews are not sure when an elementary school will be able to reopen after a burst sprinkler pipe sprayed water, leaving significant damage.
Fire crews responded to North Falmouth Elementary School at approximately 2:05 p.m. for a burst water pipe.
Video sent to Boston 25 News captured some of the children’s desks and chair sitting in a thin coat of water and a gaping hole in the ceiling.
A Falmouth Fire Department spokesperson says the school will need to undergo extensive sprinkler, electrical, and clean-up work before it is ready to open its doors again.
