Marshfield double murder suspect captured in South Florida

25 Investigates has learned the nationwide manhunt for Christopher Keeley is over.

A law enforcement source said Keeley is in custody in South Florida. A Miami-Dade County jail report shows Keeley was booked at 6:05 a.m. Saturday.

Keeley is being held on a fugitive warrant and is ineligible for bond, according to the report.

A warrant has been issued earlier this week for Keeley for the murder of Carl and Vicki Mattson, a Marshfield couple in their 70′s. Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz said both were found “bludgeoned and stabbed” when police conducted a wellness check at their home Tuesday evening.

Keeley was initially thought to be in Atlanta area. Source said he had Carl Mattson’s credit cards and was using them after murder.

Source tells Boston 25 that the Miami Beach Florida PD picked up Keeley after an altercation.

Florida investigators soon notified authorities, who had been looking for him in South.

The couple’s son Jeffrey Mattson told investigate reporter Ted Daniel that Keeley had been staying with his parents prior to the murder.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates as more information becomes available.
