Owner sought after three pit bulls allegedly attack small dog at popular Lynn playground

LYNN, Mass. — Officials are looking for the owner of three pit bulls who allegedly attacked a small dog on Sunday morning at a popular Lynn playground.

According to Lynn Police, a woman was walking her 11-year-old, 18 pound, Cockapoo around 8:15 a.m. at the Lynn Woods Playground when a man walking his three unleashed pit bulls entered the softball field area.

The pit bulls then viciously attacked the Cockapoo without provocation, according to authorities, biting it more than twenty five times. Authorities say the Cockapoo suffered serious injuries and has extensive veterinary bills.

The owner of the pit bulls gained control of the dogs shortly thereafter and left the area, according to police. He was last seen walking with them behind the woods of the softball field. Officials describe the owner as a burly looking Caucasian man with scruffy facial hair, wearing a baseball cap.

Anyone with information about the incident or the owner of the pit bulls is asked to call Lynn Animal Control at 781-477-4385.

Lynn Police need help to identify the individual described below. Please share the attached flyer. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Animal Control Officer.
